DYNTEK CHANNEL LINTELS are horizontal members designed to carry brick/blockwork across door and window openings. Manufactured using high yield steel, its surface is perforated, then formed into channel section and finally rust protected.

Available to cater up to wall widths of 200 mm and BS 5977: Part2: 1983.

DYNTEK CORRUGATED LINTELS are designed for internal use only. Using galvanised steel conforming to BS 2989: 1982 its surface is perforated and then formed into corrugated section to suit wall widths 75mm and 100mm.

Loading Charts

Using the Loading Charts

1. Determine the width of the opening.
2. Calculate the load (in tonnes) that will sit on the entire width of the opening.
3. Depending on the wall thickness, locate on the appropriate table the intersection of the opening width against the load reading.
4. From the point of intersection, project the point upwards until it reaches the nearest curve.
5. The lintel represented by the curve will satisfy the building requirements.

Note: When ordering lintels, ensure 200mm end bearings are included in the length of lintels i. e. add 400mm to lintel length.

DYNTEK LINTEL is mounted on DYNTEK BRACKET fixed onto concrete column wherever Lintels abut with column/s and/or vertical StiFlex stiffener/s.
